About

The name’s Muhammad Hakim bin Rahim. Some would call him by his name or his closed one would just call him, Hak. Or Max, if he’s talking to an angmoh. Haksmic is just a name he came up with while trying to fuse the word orgasmic/sarcasm to his name (He likes playing around with words and describes himself as a third person narrating).
Born on August the eighth nineteen-eighty-eight (8888), he’s a left-hander. They say left-handers are mostly more creative and an awesome buncha people. Well he thinks so too.
In his free time, he would hog his laptop and surf around the world wide web aimlessly. He resides in Facebook and Twitter usually, with the occasional peeking into other social networking sites to wash eye wash eye like tt. He’s not the typical boy who likes LAN games and all that shit. Instead he opens up Photoshop and Illustrator and visits tutorial sites to improve on his skills.
He graduated from Singapore Polytechnic (SP) with a Diploma in Multimedia Technology and during his time in SP, he acquired skills relevant to the design industry. As part of the schools work attachment program, he was attached for a semester to GameAxis/LEET Magazine, a subsidiary of SPH Magazines, under the same roof as Hardware Zone (HWZ), as a graphic designer. He picked up valuable skills in magazine publishing, and applied them to the schools lifestyle magazine, “Oops!”.
He became the graphic designer for Oops! Magazine in SP, a campus lifestyle magazine created by the students, for students. Oops! brought hip and groove back to SP as it became the first campus lifestyle magazine to organise parties and festivals in venues such as Ministry of Sound, Zouk, Cafe del Mar and Timbre.
He freelances for other small projects and enters competition to expand his skills. Having completed two years of serving the nation, he’s back again, feasting on anorexic models for supper. ;)
